With every passing day I grow less confident of ever living in a just world
Death toll dwindles proclaims the paper train behind the propeller plane
Right heart, wrong place brigade

Remember how the wind used to stop for you?
As my mumbled minutia was silently swept away
Something shining on the sweat sliding the back of my neck
and when i turn to stare straight into the sun, it wasn’t there. Nor was anyone

I’ll turn 27 the minute midnight hits. That’s about as old I ever thought I would live.
